1/21/2025 MEC Update: Scheduling Committee Update SWGMECUpdate MEC Update A MESSAGE FROM THE SUNWING AIRLINES MASTER EXECUTIVE COUNCIL January 21, 2025 In this update, we highlight the following: Update from the Scheduling Committee Scheduling Committee Update Fellow Flight Crew Members, As the completion of the integrated seniority list is now complete, and the first Sunwing pilots are set to transfer over to WestJet in the coming months, we have received access to view the WestJet pairings. We have combined them with a set of documents provided by the WJA MEC Scheduling Committee to better help Sunwing pilots understand the differences related to a socialized bidding system. The WJA Scheduling Committee is also in the process of creating bidding tutorial videos that will be uploaded to the WJA MEC YouTube channel when complete. We will advise the group when they are finished and ready to view. We think now is a good time for the Sunwing pilots to start reviewing this different methodology of bidding and scheduling to better achieve their schedule and lifestyle goals from day one at WestJet. The Scheduling Committee has developed the link below to set up a one-on-one chat whenever you need assistance with bidding. You will need to download the Telegram app. https://t.me/WJAMECBot If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us or directly to the WJA Scheduling Committee through the ALPA DART system.
